Who would have thought espousing a personal position which is agreed upon by President Obama would bring out such hatred from the left?

The left is almost becoming sad. I thought they had the White House and both houses of Congress. But yet they can't stop hatin'.

Well, it could be worse. Would you like to see, say, The Nation's Margaret Carlson in pink panties?

Silence can still be golden.......

As for the U.S. Captain rescue on Sunday, thanks to the sharpshooters of our U.S. military, I've heard some people are upset because we "didn't hear" from President Obama during the crisis.

After thinking about it, I don't think it's a big deal at all. Seems to me he charged the people that needed to be with the task at hand and they pulled it off brilliantly.

So, in this case, silence should not bring on criticism. Hooray for our forces, and kudos to the President. :)

Leading By Example: We Should All Serve

Hundreds of thousands of volunteers in the Washington region and throughout the country turned out to do good works for their communities yesterday, an overwhelming response to President-elect Barack Obama's call for a day of public service in honor of the Rev. Martin Luther King Jr.'s birthday.

They crowded into soup kitchens to feed the homeless, flooded school hallways to paint walls and flocked to neighborhood parks to pick up trash in what may have been the largest day of national service ever. It was propelled by the same kind of millions-strong network of e-mail and text messages that marked Obama's presidential campaign.

The impact was particularly strong in Washington, bolstered by the thousands of people who arrived in recent days to take part in the inauguration and who eagerly joined the area's community service activities.
